The Manor Cottage

The Southwick Society was founded in 1973 and has a large local membership.

 It is active in:

The Manor Cottage sits just to the south of the Community Centre, in Southwick Street. It’s open every Saturday from May through to September. There are frequent exhibitions - and entry is free. The cottage has a shop which sells local history books, pamphlets and souvenirs.

Our highly popular series of talks, presented by excellent speakers on local history and wider topics of interest, are held at the Community Centre on the second Monday of every month, from September through to April. (Bearing in mind that in the summer, from May to September, it’s all hands to the pump in running the Manor Cottage Heritage Centre!).
